Hannover and Nurnberg were both relegated last season and are currently struggling in the 2 Bundesliga. This should be a close match at the HDI-Arena and I can’t separate the former German champions.

Hannover have had a poor start to life back in the 2 Bundesliga after getting relegated from the Bundesliga. Knocked out of the German Cup in the 1st round, the Reds have been inconsistent and are currently off the pace.

Mirko Slomka’s side rebounded from two straight defeats to record a 2-1 win at Holstein Kiel last time out. Marvin Ducksch scored the opener before assisting Cedric Teuchert who made it 2-0.

Winger Linton Maina is still out injured alongside right back Sebastian Jung. Central defender Waldemar Anton returns from suspension and should replace Felipe.

Central midfielder Marc Stendera made his debut in Kiel and could continue with fellow new signing Dennis Aogo and Edgar Prib. Marvin Bakalorz came off the bench in Kiel and is another option as he regains full fitness.

Hannover are undefeated in 17 of their last 18 matches in the 2 Bundesliga and drawn two of their last three home matches to start the season. Hannover can be backed at 2.20 to win with a draw priced at 3.50.

Nurnberg are also adjusting to life back in the 2 Bundesliga after relegation. ‘The Club’ are down in 12th position, one point ahead of Hannover after struggling to turn draws into wins.

Damir Canadi’s side have drawn their last three matches including a 1-1 home draw against Karlsruher SC last time out. Johannes Geis opened the scoring from the penalty spot but Nurnberg failed to take all three points.

Nurnberg have some injury concerns with defenders Asger Sörensen and Enrico Valentini out. Wingers Virgil Misidjan and Iuri Medeiros are also missing along with attackers Mikael Ishak and Adam Zrelak.

Nurnberg are outsiders and paying 3.10 to win. Their strong central midfield partnership in Johannes Geis and Hanno Behrens continue to keep them in games which is why I am backing a draw at 3.50.
