Freiburg host a free falling Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Freiburg have won two of their last three matches at Schwarzwald-Stadion and have a great chance to take all three points.

Werder Bremen Form


Werder Bremen’s season is going from bad to worse. They were on a terrible run of form before the break which continued last week.

Florian Kohfeldt’s side lost 2-0 at home against Union Berlin, 3-0 at Leipzig and 2-0 at home against Borussia Dortmund. They were knocked out of the German Cup after a 2-0 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Werder Bremen’s last match before the break was a 2-2 draw at Hertha Berlin where they were 2-0 up after six minutes. Their last match was a 4-1 home defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.

Theodor Gebre Selassie equalised in the 30th minute but their defending continues to be horrendous, especially crosses into the box. Werder Bremen have conceded 2+ goals in their last nine matches in all competitions.
