Bengaluru vs Hyderabad Predictions

Bengaluru can make it two wins from two when they take on Hyderabad on Thursday.

Thursday's ISL contest will be the 11th encounter between these sides. Hyderabad hold the H2H advantage, scoring four wins to Bengaluru's two. Bengaluru did claim the spoils in their most recent meeting - a 2-1 win at this venue last February.

Bengaluru kicked off the ISL season with a hard-fought win against East Bengal last Saturday. A debut goal from teenage midfielder Vinith Venkatesh secured a 1-0 win for the Blues.

Gerard Zaragoza's side boast a strong record in ISL matches played on home soil since the start of 2023. Bengaluru won 12 and lost only two of 19 games at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

Despite their strong home form, Bengaluru missed out on a playoff spot, eventually finishing tenth in the 12-team division.

Gerard Zaragoza has no new injury concerns after his side collected three points in last weekend's match against East Bengal.

Hyderabad face their first competitive fixture in five months after withdrawing from the recently contested Durand Cup. The Nizams have not played a competitive fixture since losing their final three ISL matches of last season in April.

A miserable campaign saw the Nizams finish bottom of the division, with only eight points scored from 22 games played.

On their travels, Thangboi Singto's side failed to win 13 of their last 15 ISL matches since March 2023 (W2, D4, L9).

Hyderabad boss Singto has a fully fit squad ahead of the trip to Bengaluru. The visitors are likely to hand ISL debuts to the recently recruited duo Cy Goddard and Devendra Murgaokar.
