Hyderabad vs Bengaluru Predictions

These two sides have played out three draws from four previous meetings. Having both started the season inconsistently, I'm tipping this one to end in another stalemate.

Bengaluru have delivered the goods for BTTS and over 3.5 goals backers all season and can do so once again.

  • Hyderabad have drawn 9 of their last 13 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Hyderabad are undefeated in 12 of their last 13 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Hyderabad have drawn 3 of their 4 previous matches against Bengaluru (Indian Super League).
  • Bengaluru are winless in 5 of their last 6 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Bengaluru have seen BTTS in their last 8 matches (all competitions).
  • Bengaluru have seen over 3.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 matches (all competitions).

Head to Head

Hyderabad and Bengaluru have drawn three of their four previous meetings in the Indian Super League. Bengaluru were 1-0 winners in the other clash.

Hyderabad Form

Hyderabad have had a mixed start to the season with a win, draw and a loss from their opening three games.

Manolo Marquez's side lost their opening game 1-0 to Chennaiyin before surprising champions Mumbai City 3-1 with one of the performances of the new season.

They come into this fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw with Jamshedpur with Bartholomew Ogbeche getting a second-half equaliser.

Hyderabad Team News

Edu Garcia, Halicharan Narzary and Sahil Tavora all missed the draw with Jamshedpur.

Mohammad Yasir is a doubt after picking up an injury late in the last game.

Bengaluru Form

Bengaluru suffered a second defeat of the season when going down 3-1 to champions Mumbai City on Saturday.

The Blues were made to pay for a missed Sunil Chhetri penalty for the second time. The captain also missed from the spot in a 3-1 loss to Odisha.

Marco Pezzaiuoli's side have also beaten NorthEast United 4-2 and drawn 1-1 with Kerala Blasters.

Bengaluru Team News

Prince Ibara was forced off after half-an-hour of the defeat to Mumbai City and is doubtful. Edmund Lalrindika could come in.

Yrondu Musavu-King and Leon Augustine are also sidelined for at least another month.

What time does Hyderabad vs Bengaluru start?

The match starts at 2.00pm GMT on Wednesday, December 8.

Both sides have lacked consistency in the opening weeks of the season. The two meetings last season ended in draws and I'm tipping another stalemate with BTTS the best bet and over 3.5 goals value.
