Both sides will be keen to bounce back from defeat last weekend, so I expect an open encounter with chances at both ends.

Kerala Blasters and East Bengal will meet for the ninth time on Sunday. Kerala hold a narrow 3-2 H2H advantage after East Bengal's 4-2 win in their most recent encounter.

Kerala Blasters returned to ISL action with a dramatic 2-1 defeat against Punjab last weekend. A remarkable finale saw the Tuskers equalise in the 92nd minute before Filip Mrzljak's 95th-minute winner for the Shers.

Mikael Stahre's side struggled to find much form in the ISL this year. Kerala lost nine and won just two of their last 12 league games played since January.

Reliable in the goal markets, an average of 4.8 goals were scored in the Tuskers last ten competitive home fixtures. Nine of those games saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals.

Kerala boss Stahre could make one or two changes to his selection. Spanish forward Jesús Jiménez is likely to come into the first XI after a goal-scoring substitute appearance against Punjab.

Indian midfielder Vibin Mohanan is also tipped to earn a recall to the starting selection.

East Bengal Form

East Bengal began their ISL season with a narrow 1-0 defeat at Bengaluru last Saturday. Vinith Venkatesh's first professional goal proved the difference maker before Carles Cuadrat's side were reduced to ten men late in the second half.

Prior to last weekend's rare low-scoring outcome, East Bengal had seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in each of their nine previous matches since March.

A poor away record has plagued Cuadrat's men in recent years. The Red & Gold Brigade lost 12 and won only five of their last 20 away ISL encounters.

Head coach Cuadrat will be forced into at least one change to his starting XI on Sunday. Lal Chungnunga is suspended after his red card at Bengaluru.

Cleiton Silva and Madih Talal are both in contention for a recall to the side should Cuadrat opt to further shuffle his selection.
