Bayern Munich vs AC Milan Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Bayern Munich are tipped to secure the win against AC Milan in their second International Champions Cup clash at the Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas. The Germans won their last fixture in the competition and should see off Milan at odds of 1.72.

Given the attacking quality expected to be on display, both teams also predicted to produce over 3.5 goals at odds of 2.30.

Bayern Munich are coming off a 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in their previous fixture in the ICC. Corentin Tolisso opened the scoring on 15 minutes while Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry were also on the score sheet in the second half.

The Bavarians head into Wednesday’s clash in good form with nine wins in their last 13 matches, stretching back to last season. Their excellent run means they are good value for a win at odds of 1.72.

Robert Lewandowski has come off the bench to score in his last two matches and the Polish striker could be handed his first preseason start. Serge Gnabry also got on the score sheet as a substitute last time out and is expected to return to the first team.

AC Milan Form & Team News

This will be the first taste of preseason action for AC Milan with the Serie A team looking to build some momentum ahead of the new season. They had a poor campaign in the 2018 ICC, claiming just one win from three matches.

The Serie A club are heading into a new era under manager Marco Giampaolo but have been quiet in the transfer market. They are not favoured to win on Wednesday having been placed at odds of 4.12 with a draw valued at 3.90.

Krzysztof Piatek was excellent last season and is expected to start on Wednesday. Andre Silva is also in contention to feature having returned from a successful loan spell at Spanish outfit Sevilla.

AC Milan have six wins and two draws while Bayern Munich have three victories from 11 previous matches. Both teams met in the ICC in 2017 with the Italians claiming a 4-0 victory.

Bayern will be looking to Robert Lewandowski to provide the spark in attack with the Polish striker scoring in his last two matches. With Serge Gnabry also appearing to be in good form at the moment, the Germans are expected to cause Milan plenty of problems.

Krzysztof Piatek will be the one to watch for AC Milan following his impressive debut season with the former Italian Serie A champions. The striker appears to be the biggest threat for the Rossoneri and could be a handful for the Germans.
