An open contest is expected when Bayern Munich and Real Madrid meet in an International Champions Cup fixture at the NRG Stadium. Both teams are known for their exciting attacks and are tipped to produce over 3.5 goals.

Bayern Munich are coming off a 2-1 defeat to English Premier League club Arsenal in their opening fixture in the competition. Robert Lewandowski struck a second half equaliser for the Bavarians, who fell behind right after the restart before conceding a late winner.

It was the first taste of preseason action for Nico Kovac’s men, who ended the previous German Bundesliga season unbeaten in their last 12 matches. They are priced at 2.87 to beat Real Madrid but having produced over 3.5 goals in seven of their last 12 matches, a similar outcome is expected on Sunday.

Robert Lewandowski came off the bench to good effect against Arsenal and the striker is likely to play from the start this time. Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman were also second half substitutes last time out and could be handed starts on Sunday.

This will be the first preseason appearance for Real Madrid with the Spanish giants looking to build some momentum ahead of their Spanish La Liga campaign. They impressed in last year’s ICC claiming two wins in three matches to finish sixth.

Zinedine Zidane’s men head into Sunday’s clash unbeaten in eight of their last 12 matches and are backed at odds of 2.30 for a win. They are known for their attacking style of play and have produced over 3.5 goals in two of their last three matches.

Real Madrid have been busy in the transfer window with five players joining the club. Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard are expected to bolster the team’s attacking ranks and should feature on Sunday alongside Karim Benzema, who was top scorer last season.
