Republic of Ireland failed to qualify for Euro 2024 following six defeats and two wins during qualification. The only Group B victories came against international minnows Gibraltar.

They have won just once in four friendlies since the end of qualifying, that coming last week thanks to a Troy Parrott 92nd winner in a 2-1 success over Hungary.
