Defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva is suspended. Centre back Luiz Felipe, midfielder Danilo Cataldi and attacking midfielder Luis Alberto are all injured.

Attacking midfielder Joaquin Correa was an unused substitute against Roma and could return after recovering from injury.

This Coppa Italia meeting may be the perfect opportunity for Mohammed Fares to make a return, after missing several weeks due to injury.

Striker Felipe Caicedo is doubtful for this match after picking up a minor injury and will most likely not be risked.

Parma have had real struggles in front of goals in recent matches.
