Ulsan HD vs FC Seoul Predictions

FC Seoul have enjoyed some strong form in the past month, and they could make life difficult for an out-of-sorts Ulsan.

I'm taking the visitors in the Double Chance market as my only selection at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium.

  • Ulsan failed to win their last 3 matches
  • Ulsan failed to win 4 of their last 7 home matches
  • FC Seoul are unbeaten in 2 of their last 3 away matches against Ulsan
  • FC Seoul are unbeaten in 8 of their last 10 matches
  • FC Seoul are unbeaten in 6 of their last 7 away matches

Head to Head

Ulsan and FC Seoul have faced each other on 35 occasions since 2014. Ulsan lead the H2H record, scoring 17 wins to Seoul's six.

Ulsan HD Form

Ulsan's dip in form continued this week as they slipped to a surprise 1-0 home defeat against Gwangju on Wednesday. Lee Hui-Gyun's second-half strike extended Ulsan's winless run to three games.

The Tigers have now failed to win eight of their last 12 league games played over the past eight weeks. Hong Myung-Bo's side dropped points in three of their last six matches at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium.

Despite recent struggles, the K League champions remain in the title hunt, sitting third in the division, only two points behind pacesetters Pohang Steelers.

Ulsan HD Team News

Hong Myung-Bo is unable to call on a handful of injured first-team players this weekend. Ji-Hyun Kim, Seok-Ho Hwang, Gustav Ludwigson, Young-Gwon Kim and Myung-Jae Lee are all expected to remain unavailable.

FC Seoul Form

FC Seoul maintained their uptick in form with a fine comeback victory against Daejeon Hana Citizen on Wednesday. Jesse Lingard's second goal of the season secured a fourth win in five matches for Kim Gi-Dong's side.

Seoul failed to win five successive matches between mid-May and mid-June before their recent resurgence in form.

On the road, Gi-Dong's men enjoyed a six-game unbeaten stretch before a 3-2 defeat at Jeju last weekend. Seoul now find themselves up to sixth in the division, nine points behind Ulsan.

FC Seoul Team News

Head coach Gi-Dong has no fresh injury issues but must cope without the services of three players on Saturday.

Do-Yoon Hwang, Sang-Hoon Paik, and Sung-Yueng Ki remain long-term absentees for the away side.

Verdict

Seoul have found some improved form in recent weeks, and they will be confident of getting a positive result on Saturday.

I'll be putting my money on the visitors in the double chance market.
