The reigning champions started this month with a commanding 3-0 home win against Gwangju, then drawn against Pohang Steelers 1-1 also at home, followed by a road win against Jeju FC 2-1, Erick Farias scoring twice in these encounters.

In last weekend’s action, Ulsan were minutes away from beating Gangwon away from home, Seo Myung-Guan granting them lead in the 65th minute, but conceded an equalizer in stoppage time.

Their two-game winning run (2-0 vs Ulsan and 2-1 vs Pohang Steelers) was halted in early May with a 1-0 away defeat to Gwangju, but they quickly bounced back by thrashing Gangwon 4-0.
