Lille vs PSG Predictions

Lille have been very hard to beat this season, especially at Stade Pierre-Mauroy where they have not lost in their last 14 matches. PSG can overtake Lille at the top of Ligue 1 with a win, but their suspect defence means BTTS is more likely.

  • Lille have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 matches (all competitions).
  • Lille are undefeated in their last 14 home matches (all competitions).
  • PSG have seen BTTS in their last 4 away matches (all competitions).
  • PSG have failed to keep a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 matches (all competitions).

Head to Head

Paris Saint-Germain have a 34-25 advantage against Lille with 20 draws in 79 matches.

Lille Form

Lille are having a great season and currently sit one point ahead of PSG at the top of Ligue 1. Les Dogues have won nine of their opening 15 matches with one defeat.

Christophe Galtier's are also through to the UEFA Europa League knockout rounds. They lost 3-2 against Celtic in Glasgow in the final group game but had already secured second spot behind AC Milan.

Lille returned to Ligue 1 with a 2-1 home win against Bordeaux. Jonathan Bamba opened the scoring before assisting José Fonte for the go ahead goal.

Lille’s last match was a comfortable 2-0 win at bottom placed Dijon on Wednesday. Yusuf Yazici and Timothy Weah were on target as they held the hosts to just 0.17 expected goals.

Lille Injuries & Team News

Midfielder Renato Sanches is out until 2021 with a thigh injury. Brazilian winger Luiz Araújo is injured.

Right back Jérémy Pied is injured with Zeki Çelik set to start at right back. Domagoj Bradaric competes with Reinildo at left back.

Burak Yilmaz, Jonathan David and Timothy Weah compete for a spot up front.

PSG Form

PSG won 3-1 at Manchester United and 5-1 at home against Istanbul Basaksehir to finish top of Group H in the UEFA Champions League. The Parisians won four and lost two of their six group games.

Thomas Tuchel’s side lost 1-0 at home against Lyon in Ligue 1. They were very poor, creating just 0.31 expected goals and can have no qualms about the defeat.

Tuchel explained the poor performance, saying “It’s very simple, we weren’t ready for this match. I saw a very mentally tired team, we never found our rhythm. We didn’t play with enough confidence. We weren’t sufficiently focused and disciplined. I expected a game of a higher level.”

PSG stayed at Parc des Princes and defeated relegation threatened Lorient 2-0 on Wednesday. The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 49th minute, Kylian Mbappé converting the resulting penalty and Moise Kean putting the result beyond doubt.

PSG Injuries & Team News

PSG have a lengthy injury list. Centre-backs Abdou Diallo and Marquinhos are injured alongside left back Juan Bernat. Right back Colin Dagba is available after suspension.

Danilo Pereira started in central defence against Lorient but picked up an early injury and is doubtful. Expect Presnel Kimpembe to come back into the starting side here.

Winger Pablo Sarabia is injured alongside attackers Mauro Icardi and Neymar.

Midfielders Marco Verratti, Julian Draxler and Ángel Di María will be hoping to start in Lille.
