Marseille won 2-1 at Nantes on Sunday, making the most of having 74% possession. Maupay opened the scoring before the hosts equalised, Mason Greenwood restoring the advantage with his seventh goal of the season.

Attacking midfielder Valentín Carboni is gone for the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, striker Faris Moumbagna out with the same issue.

Auxerre lost four of their opening five matches this season. They have failed to win on the road where they have suffered four defeats alongside a draw.

Christophe Pelissier’s side have won three straight at home, starting with a 3-0 win against Brest and 2-1 victory over Reims.

Auxerre are coming off a 4-0 win against Rennes with Gaëtan Perrin scoring the opening two goals. Lassine Sinayoko and Ado Onaiwu came off the bench to complete the rout.
