A low scoring contest is expected when Olympique Marseille take on Bordeaux in a French Ligue 1 clash at the Orange Velodrome. With both teams battling to maintain consistency and struggling for goals at the moment, I am predicting an outcome of under 2.5 goals at odds of 1.73.

Olympique Marseille have found things difficult lately and are in free fall down the Ligue 1 table. They are now 10th following a run of just one win in their last eight league matches.

Les Olympiens are coming off a 2-1 defeat away at Reims last time out in Ligue 1. Rudi Garcia's men were 2-0 down before Clinton N'Jie pulled one back four minutes from time.

Marseille will be without top scorer Florian Thauvin and captain Dimitri Payet, with both men ruled out due to suspension and injury respectively. Valere Germain is expected to start in attack on Tuesday with N'Jie and Morgan Sanson likely to provide support.

Bordeaux have also not been at their best lately with just two wins in their last 10 Ligue 1 matches. They have slipped into the bottom half of the table in 12th place, three points behind Tuesday's hosts.

Jimmy Briand is expected to continue in attack after scoring one of the goals in the defeat to Strasbourg. The striker is likely to be supported by Samuel Kalu and Younousse Sankhare who was also on target in the Coupe de la Ligue.

Marseille have been poor in attack lately and head into Tuesday's clash with a depleted forward line due to the absence of Thauvin and Payet. The hosts are likely to struggle against Bordeaux as both men represent a significant bulk of their attacking force.

Bordeaux have also had similar problems in attack this season with Briand their top scorer with just four goals. Kalu and Sankhare are also struggling for goals and are likely to find things difficult on Tuesday.
