Montpellier vs PSG Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

PSG's disappointing end to the season is set to continue away at Montpellier in the French Ligue 1. BTTS is the tip at odds of 1.62 as the hosts have good quality in attack to punish a fragile PSG team. The champions have looked off colour lately and are likely to be held to a draw at 3.80.

Montpellier HSC Form & Team News

Montpellier earned a 3-1 victory at Strasbourg in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. A brace from Andy Delort either side of a Florent Mollet effort was enough to earn them all three points.

Michel de Zakarian's men have been in good form as they attempt to make a late push for a European finish. The hosts have claimed three wins in their last five matches, although they have only kept one clean sheet in that run.

Despite their recent good form, Montpellier are still valued at 3.60 to win on Tuesday. They have no new injury problems with Delort expected to retain his place in attack having scored six goals in his last 10 matches.

Paris Saint-Germain FC Form & Team News

PSG were beaten on penalties by Rennes in the Coupe de France final after regulation time ended 2-2. They earned a 3-1 victory at home against Monaco in their previous Ligue 1 outing with Kylian Mbappe netting a hat-trick.

The Parisians have already been confirmed French champions for the eighth time but have looked off colour lately. They have dropped points to the likes of Strasbourg, Lille and Nantes in recent weeks but are still priced at 1.91 to secure the win on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel's men have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five matches and will be without a number of key defenders for Tuesday's clash. Juan Bernat is suspended while Thiago Silva and Thomas Meunier are both ruled out with injury.

Montpellier vs PSG Head to Head

PSG have a 16-12 edge with 14 draws from 42 previous matches against Montpellier. The Parisians claimed a 5-1 victory in the reverse fixture at the Parc des Princes but Montpellier are unbeaten in the last two meetings between both teams at the Stade de la Mosson.

Montpellier vs PSG Match Up

Andy Delort has been in fine form for Montpellier in recent matches with six goals in his last 10 Ligue 1 matches. The striker netted a brace last time out against Strasbourg and often combines well with Mollet who was also on target in his previous outing.

PSG are depleted in defence with Bernat, Meunier and Thiago Silva not expected to feature on Tuesday. They remain the top scorers in Ligue 1 and should trouble the Montpellier backline with their exciting attack.
