Strasbourg vs Nantes Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips


Strasbourg and Nantes are set to produce an open contest in their French Ligue 1 fixture at the Stade de la Meinau. Both teams are not particularly convincing at the back and are tipped to produce BTTS.

Strasbourg suffered a 1-0 defeat against champions PSG last time out in Ligue 1. They frustrated the Parisians for much of the contest before conceding a dramatic winner in the second minute of added time.

Thierry Laurey's men are still seeking their first win of the season but have drawn three of their opening five matches. A win on Sunday is valued at 2.37 by the bookies but given their recent results, I am going for a draw at odds of 3.00.

Adrien Thomasson has impressed for Strasbourg this season and is the team’s top scorer with two goals. He should retain his place in attack alongside Ludovic Ajorque while Kenny Lala is likely to continue in midfield having also got off the mark this season.

FC Nantes Form & Team News


Nantes were victorious in their previous Ligue 1 fixture as they triumphed 1-0 at home against Reims. Kalifa Coulibaly scored the only goal on 69 minutes as they held on for the win.

Les Canaries lost their opening match of the season but have gone unbeaten in their last four matches. 
Christian Gourcuff's men are valued at 3.25 for a win in Friday but BTTS looks a more likely outcome at odds of 2.00 as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last nine away matches in Ligue 1.

Kalifa Coulibaly often features as the lone man in attack for Nantes and has scored two goals this season. He should continue to lead the line for the team with support from Moses Simon, who has also impressed in recent matches.
