Chicago Fire return to Soldier Field after their five-game unbeaten run was halted in New York last weekend. Despite taking a first-half lead against the NYRB, the Fires' defensive issues reared their head once more as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Gregg Berhalter's side picked up three wins and two draws from their five-game unbeaten run. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 17 MLS games since the end of last season.

High-scoring outcomes have been a recurring theme for the Fire. Eight of their nine previous MLS games saw over 2.5 goals scored, while seven of those matches also finished with BTTS.

Like the home side, Inter are frequently involved in entertaining contests. Only four of their last 25 away MLS games did not see BTTS, while all but six of those matches saw a minimum of three goals scored.

Six games into the MLS season, Javier Mascherano's men sit second in the Eastern Conference and remain unbeaten with four wins and two draws to their name.

Head coach Mascherano has no new fitness issues and is expected to welcome David Martinez and Tadeo Allende into the squad following respective injury layoffs.

David Ruiz and Ryan Sailor are likely to remain sidelined this weekend.
