Orlando City vs Inter Miami Predictions

An entertaining Florida Derby seems likely, with both teams delivering in the goal markets this season.

BTTS & over 2.5 goals is my top tip, while I also like Inter's chances of scoring at least twice in a game where we could see four goals or more.

Wednesday's MLS encounter will be the 15th instalment of the Florida Derby. Both teams won five of their 14 previous contests since 2020.

Inter claimed a commanding 5-0 win when these sides last met in Fort Lauderdale earlier this season.

Orlando come into Wednesday's contest boosted by an excellent 3-2 away win at Philadelphia United on Sunday. Recently acquired Colombian forward Luis Muriel scored his first goals for the Lions as they claimed their second road victory of the season.

Óscar Pareja's side have struggled to find much consistency in recent weeks. The Lions failed to win four of their last six MLS fixtures (W2, D2, L2).

Short on winning form at the Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando also failed to win six of their last seven home MLS contests.

Head coach Pareja has a few selection headaches to deal with this week. Rafael Santos, Tahir Reid-Brown, Dagur Þórhallsson and Ramiro Enrique are all likely to remain unavailable.

Inter Miami Form

An in-form Inter Miami extended their winning run to five matches with a superb comeback victory at Montreal on Sunday. Despite falling two goals down, Tata Martino's side showed their powers of recovery to emerge with a handy 3-2 road victory.

The Herons have been in superb goal-scoring form, with a total of 19 goals netted in successive victories against Sporting KC (3-2), Nashville (3-1), New England (4-1), New York RB (6-2) and Montreal.

Three points clear at the top of the Eastern Conference, Miami are unbeaten in eight of their last nine MLS matches. Despite their impressive form, Martino's men have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 14 fixtures.

Head coach Martino could keep faith with the same XI that edged to victory in Canada on Sunday.

Jordi Alba, Diego Gomez, Federico Redondo, Ian Fray, Robert Robinson, and Facundo Farias are again expected to be among the visitors absentees.
