The Canadian club went on a five-game losing skid before finally halting that slide with a 2-2 draw at DC United in late May.

They then built on that with a 3-2 victory against Chicago, but they have lacked consistency since then.

Toronto were beaten 2-0 at New York Red Bulls before returning home to edge Atlanta United 2-1.

They failed to follow up that victory at home in midweek, slipping to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Columbus.

Seattle go into this match on the back of a loss, but they have been in solid form over the past few weeks.

The CONCACAF Championship League winners bounced back from their US Open Cup exit with back-to-back wins against Minnesota and Houston.

Their run was stopped by a 1-0 loss at Colorado, but they replied with a home wins against Charlotte (2-1) and Vancouver (4-0).

The Sounders then made it three games without loss by drawing 1-1 with Los Angeles FC, before returning to winning ways with a 3-0 victory against Sporting Kansas City.

They came up short in midweek though, suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Montreal.
