Marco Silva favourite to be next Premier League manager to leave his job after another Everton defeat

Marco Silva's tenure as Everton manager appears to be coming to a swift conclusion. Four straight English Premier League defeats sees the Toffees in the relegation zone when many expected the Merseyside club to be fighting for UEFA Europa League qualification.

The latest loss came in a 1-0 defeat at Burnley on Saturday, a result not helped with Séamus Coleman getting sent off in the 56th minute for a second bookable offence. Regardless, Everton should be performing better with a team that includes Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Moise Kean.

Bookmakers reported a flood of money for Mauricio Pochettino being the next Premier League manager to leave his position following Tottenham's 3-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday afternoon. Pochettino seemed the clear favourite following Spurs' 7-2 Champions League loss against Bayern Munich, but Silva seems intent on sharing the spotlight and it appears a battle between the two under fire managers.

Next Premier League Manager to Leave Betting Odds

Marco Silva is Ladbrokes' favourite at 10/11 to be the next Premier League manager to leave, just ahead of Mauricio Pochettino at 2/1. Steve Bruce and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are still in the discussion, but Bruce may have bought himself some valuable time after defeating Solskjaer's Red Devils 1-0 on Sunday.

Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes said: "It's quickly starting to look like it's a case of when, not if, Pochettino departs Spurs." Odds taken from Ladbrokes and correct on 6 October 2019:
