Paul Heckingbottom is the 7/4 favourite with bookmaker Coral to be the next permanent Sheffield United manager after reports suggest Chris Wilder is set to step down.
Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is second best in the betting at 9/2 for the role, with Frank Lampard and Neil Lennon both 8/1 at time of writing, and David Wagner available at 12/1.
Coral spokesman John Hill told FreeTips.com: "Paul Heckingbottom is set to be handed the reins on an interim basis at Sheffield United. We think he could do enough to earn that job on a permanent basis so he is the favourite in the betting to replace Chris Wilder."
He added: "Eddie Howe remains out of work and is likely to be waiting for the right role. The former Bournemouth boss is second best in the betting ahead of Frank Lampard and Neil Lennon."
