Valerenga welcomed the three-week break after managing just one win in their last five Eliteserien matches and slipping to 12th place.

After starting the previous month with back to back defeats to Brann 4-2 and Sandefjord 2-1, Valerenga claimed a point at home against HamKam 1-1, followed by a 1-0 road win at KFUM Oslo.

In their most recent contest, they were beaten at Tromso 2-1 with Elias Sorensen finding the net in the second half. They had 0.82-2.15 expected goals, 43% possession and 10-15 shots.

Molde Form

Molde are having a disappointing run in the Eliteserien this season, grabbing just 11 points in 10 matches and sit in 11th place miles away from the title race.

Per-Mathias Hogmo’s side had a strong start in May, beating Haugesund 2-1 and Bryne 3-0 but then lost back to back matches to Kristiansund 1-0 and HamKam 2-1.

After returning to winning ways with a 3-0 road win at Brann in late May, they were beaten in the June premiere at home by Viking 1-0.
