Bruno Lage’s side got their revenge against Braga in the League Cup semi-finals. Angel Di Maria scored twice in a 3-0 victory, Alvaro Carreras also getting on the score sheet in Leiria.

Benfica beat Sporting CP in a penalty shootout to claim the title. The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes following Andreas Schjelderup’s opening goal, all seven penalty takers converting from the spot.

Winger Tiago Gouveia remains out and Renato Sanches has suffered another injury.

Andreas Schjelderup should retain his spot in the starting side despite his intentions to leave the club. He was replaced by Kerem Aktürkoglu at half-time in the League Cup final.
