Boavista vs Casa Pia Predictions

Boavista struggle to keep clean sheets and Casa Pia’s strong defence has disappeared in recent weeks. I am backing BTTS in Portugal.

  • Boavista have seen BTTS in their last 4 matches.
  • Boavista have kept 1 clean sheet in their last 14 matches (Primeira Liga).
  • Casa Pia have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches.

Head to Head

These clubs have met on two occasions, both in Lisbon where Casa Pia won 2-0 each time.

Boavista Form

Boavista have been inconsistent this season. They have done well at home since the turn of the year, beating Gil Vicente and Portimonense either side of a 1-1 draw against Chaves.

Petit’s side have played their last two games on the road, starting with a 2-2 draw at Santa Clara. Vincent Sasso put them in front twice before they conceded in the 86th minute.

Boavista are coming off a 2-1 defeat at Estoril. Yusupha Njie opened the scoring in the 4th minute, but they couldn’t hold on after Ibrahima Camará was sent off in the 41st minute.

Casa Pia Form

Casa Pia’s early season form has evaded them in recent weeks, losing three of their last four games in the Primeira Liga.

Filipe Martins’ side lost 2-1 at Estoril after Clayton was sent off and 3-1 against Gil Vicente after Rafael Martins opened the scoring.

Casa Pia won 2-1 against Santa Clara thanks to Clayton’s 93rd minute winner before a regulation 3-0 defeat at Benfica.

The Lisbon club were dumped out of the Portuguese Cup against Nacional on Thursday.

Joao Nunes was sent off in the 17th minute, falling 2-0 behind before Diogo Pinto and Rafael Martins scored to draw level. Vasco Fernandes received a red card in extra time where they conceded three goals to suffer a 5-2 defeat.

Verdict

Boavista rarely keep clean sheets and Casa Pia have conceded nine goals in their last four league games. BTTS is the best bet in Portugal.
