Braga have been unable to win in three straight matches, their grip on third place in the Primeira Liga dissolving as a result.

The Warriors drew 1-1 draw at Famalicão after conceding an early penalty. They then had 68% possession and 17-5 shots in a 1-1 draw against Santa Clara.

Rodrigo Zalazar opened the scoring at Casa Pia last time out but they failed to take their chances in a 2-1 defeat. They had 21-5 shots including 6-3 on target, Ricardo Horta hitting the woodwork late on.

Benfica recently won four straight matches including a 3-0 win at Vitoria de Guimaraes where Vangelis Pavlidis bagged a brace. They thrashed Tirsense 4-0 in the Portuguese Cup semi-final second leg.

Bruno Lage’s side thrashed AVS 6-0 with six different scorers finding the net. Fredrik Aursnes and Nicolás Otamendi scored in the first half as they held on to won 2-1 at Estoril.

The Eagles drew 1-1 against Sporting CP on Saturday which saw Benfica remain second on the table. Down 1-0 in the 4th minute, Kerem Aktürkoglu equalised in the second half but it proved to be their only shot on target.
