Real Madrid reached the Women’s Champions League knockouts following a second-place finish in Group B. They won four of six matches with their only defeats coming against Chelsea 3-2 and 2-1.

Las Blancas were unbeaten in six consecutive matches in all competitions before a 5-0 home thrashing against Barcelona. Real Madrid replied with a 4-0 victory at Sevilla before another 3-1 defeat at Barcelona.

Alberto Toril’s outfit continued their patchy form with a 2-2 league draw with relegation-threatened Deportivo La Coruna. Las Blancas came from behind twice as Carla Camacho and Olga Carmona struck to salvage a point.

Midfielder Teresa Abelleira and defender Rocio Galvez are injured and won’t feature here.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal finished level on points with Bayern Munich in Champions League Group C. The Gunners lost their opening match before winning three in a row, scoring eight goals.

The WSL side capped their group stage with a 4-0 win over Juventus and beat Vålerenga 3-1 in the play-offs. Those wins came during the Gunners’ 10-match winning streak from November to January.

The Londoners’ winning sequence ended with a 1-0 league loss to Chelsea before five wins in their following seven games. Arsenal scored 21 goals during that period and conceded eight.

Renée Slegers’ team comfortably beat Everton 3-1 away in the WSL last time out. Alessia Russo scored twice and an owl goal helped Arsenal to a one-sided victory.

Arsenal Injuries

Goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar is unlikely to feature due to a concussion.

Defender Lotte Wubben-Moy is injured and won’t make the squad.
