Head to Head

Hearts have a 2-0 advantage against Arbroath. Hearts won 4-2 at home in the 2015/16 League Cup and 1-0 at Gayfield Park in October.

Hearts Form

Hearts are in great form and looking like they will win the Scottish Championship. They won 6-1 against Queen of the South with Steven Naismith, Liam Boyce (2), Jamie Walker, Elliott Frear and Josh Ginnelly on target.

Robbie Neilson’s side then took on Celtic in the Scottish FA Cup final.

They fell 2-0 behind at Hampden Park but goals to Boyce and Stephen Kingsley took it to extra time. Josh Ginnelly equalised in extra time before Hearts went down in the penalty shootout.

Hearts returned to the Championship with a 5-3 home win against Ayr United.

Kingsley’s free kick opened the scoring but they were 2-1 down in the 60th minute. A brace to Craig Wighton either side of an Olly Lee strike put them 4-2 up with Boyce sealing the deal.

Hearts Injuries & Team News

Centre back John Souttar is out with an achilles tendon rupture.

Left back Stephen Kingsley is doubtful after picking up an injury against Ayr.

Arbroath Form

Arbroath are having a poor season with one win in their opening nine matches in the Championship. They have scored just four goals.

Dick Campbell’s side lost 1-0 in Dundee and 1-0 against Alloa. That made it three straight matches without scoring a goal.

Arbroath picked up their first three points in a 2-1 home win against Ayr United. James Craigen scored twice in the first half as the Red Lichties held on.

Arbroath’s last match was a 1-0 defeat at Dunfermline. It was a game with very few chances, the hosts scoring the winner in the 91st minute.

Arbroath Injuries & Team News

Arbroath have a full strength side available.

Manager Dick Campbell is searching for answers with his side unable to score goals. Kris Doolan, Michael Ruth and Luke Donnelly compete for a spot up front.
