Celtic vs St. Mirren Predictions

Both teams are in excellent form, and an entertaining end-of-season contest is expected at Parkhead.

I'm putting my money on BTTS and over 3.5 goals as a single selection on Sunday.

Stats

  • Celtic have seen BTTS & over 3.5 goals in 6 of their last 10 matches (Premiership)
  • St. Mirren have seen BTTS & over 3.5 goals in 7 of their last 10 matches (Premiership)

Head to Head

Celtic and St. Mirren have met 26 times in the past decade. Celtic claimed 22 victories, with the Saints triumphant on just two occasions.

A thrilling end-of-season finale in 2024 saw Celtic edge to a 3-2 victory at Parkhead.

Celtic Form

Celtic face their final Premiership fixture after a commanding 5-1 win at Aberdeen on Wednesday. Despite rotating his side ahead before next weekend's Scottish Cup final, Brendan Rodgers's Bhoys eased to a one-sided victory at Pittodrie.

The four-in-a-row Premiership kings have been in sensational form in recent weeks, winning five of their last six games, while bagging exactly five goals in four of those victories.

Near flawless at Parkhead, the Hoops won 16 and lost just one of 18 home Premiership fixtures this season. The Scottish champions remain 17 points clear of Rangers ahead of Sunday's finale at Parkhead.

Celtic Team News

Celtic are unable to call on Portuguese winger after he sustained a serious cruciate ligament injury earlier this month. American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is also ruled out this weekend and remains a doubt for the Scottish cup final.

James Forrest is still chasing his first goal of the campaign as he looks to score in a 16th straight season, and the winger is set to start this weekend.

St. Mirren Form

St. Mirren make the trip to Glasgow after a fine comeback in Wednesday's midweek fixture against Hibernian. Trailing by two inside just 10 minutes, Stephen Robinson's side showed their powers of recovery to claim a 2-2 draw at the SMISA Stadium.

The Buddies have enjoyed a fine run of form in the past month, picking up three wins while remaining unbeaten in five Premiership fixtures. Ahead of their final game of the campaign, St. Mirren remain sixth in the division, two points behind Dundee United.

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent in recent Premiership fixtures. An average of 3.9 goals per game were scored in their ten most recent league contests.

St. Mirren Team News

St Mirren boss Robinson is likely to retain confidence in the same selection that picked up a point against Hibernian.

Elvis Bwomono remains the only injury absentee for the Buddies.

Verdict

An entertaining end-of-season contest should be on the cards at Parkhead.

BTTS and over 3.5 goals could prove a top value pick this weekend.
