A high-scoring contest should be on the cards in what is usually an entertaining fixture in Edinburgh.

Over 2.5 goals is my top tip, while Hearts could score two or more at an attractive price.

Hearts and Rangers have faced each other on 35 previous occasions over the past decade. Rangers boast a commanding 24-to-six H2H advantage during that period.

Unbeaten in their last 14 meetings against the Edinburgh side, Rangers claimed victories in each of their five previous meetings over the past year.

Hearts have not beaten Rangers since a Scottish Cup victory in 2020.

Hearts face their final fixture of the campaign after failing to win four of their last five Premiership contests. The Jambos are unbeaten in their last two matches, though, after a 2-2 draw at St Mirren last weekend.

Boasting a superb home record, Stevie Naismith's side are unbeaten in their last ten matches at Tynecastle (W7, D3). Hearts lost only three of 18 home Premiership fixtures this season.

Already assured of a third-place finish, the Jambos have collected a respectable 67 points from 37 Premiership games played.

Head coach Naismith has no new injury issues ahead of Hearts' final game of the season. Top scorer Lawrence Shankland should return to the starting XI after he scored his 30th goal of the campaign as a second-half substitute against St Mirren.

Craig Halkett and Calem Nieuwenhof remain the only expected absentees for the Jambos.

Rangers Form

Rangers make the journey to Edinburgh after a 5-2 comeback win against Dundee earlier this week. Despite that victory, the Gers title hopes were dashed following Celtic's midweek win against Kilmarnock.

Phillipe Clement's men have gone off the boil in the final months of the season. Rangers won only four of eight previous Premiership matches before Tuesday's comfortable win against the Dark Blues.

The Gers' away form has proven especially problematic, with points dropped in three of their last four road trips.

John Lundstram remains suspended after his red card against Celtic. Abadallah Sima, Ryan Jack, Rabbi Matondo. Leon Balogun, Borna Barisic, Danilo, Oscar Cortes and Conor Goldson are also expected to remain unavailable.

An entertaining end-of-season finale seems likely in Edinburgh this weekend.

I expect at least three goals scored, with Hearts capable of scoring two or more against an injury-hit Gers side.
