Rangers vs Aberdeen Predictions

On-form Rangers will be confident of maintaining their winning formula at Ibrox.

I expect the Gers to win with something to spare, so I'm taking the hosts to cover a -1 handicap.

Rangers extended their winning run at Ibrox to seven matches with an easy 3-0 win against Livingston on Saturday. Completely dominant throughout, the Gers did not allow a single shot in a remarkably one-sided contest.

Phillipe Clement's side have won 14 and lost only one of their last 16 Premiership matches. Now only three points behind Celtic, the Gers could go top of the table should they win by three goals or more on Tuesday.

Head coach Clement has no new injury issues after Saturday's stoll against Livingston. Danilo, Ben Davies and Kemar Roofe remain long-term absentees.

Cyriel Dessers could return to the starting XI after being rested at the weekend. January arrivals Fabio Silva, Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes are likely to start on the substitutes bench.

Aberdeen Form

Aberdeen face a tough trip to Glasgow after collecting a well-deserved point against league leaders Celtic at Pittodrie last Saturday. A second-half strike from on-form North Macedonian Bojan Miovski denied Celtic a tenth successive victory against the Dons.

Neil Warnock will make his debut in the Aberdeen dugout after his appointment on Monday. The experienced English boss has a tough job on his hands, though, with the Dons losing five of their last nine away matches - all by at least two goals.

Dons boss Warnock is likely to keep faith with the same XI that performed admirably in Saturday's draw against Celtic. With seven goals in his last nine appearances, Bojan Miovski will continue to lead the Aberdeen attack.
