Rangers return to Ibrox now winless in five matches after a 2-2 draw at St Mirren last weekend. Despite taking the lead twice, the Gers were forced to settle for a point in Paisley.

Barry Ferguson's underperforming side find themselves 17 points behind the runaway champions.

The Gers have been a reliable choice for goal-chasers during Ferguson's reign. At least three goals were scored in 11 of Rangers' last 13 games. Nine of those matches also saw both teams hit the target.

Rangers boss Ferguson is unable to call on several first-team players this week. Dujon Sterling and Ridvan Yilmaz will miss the remainder of the campaign, while Findlay Curtis, Leon Balogun, Rafael Fernandes, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and Tom Lawrence are also expected to miss out.

Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane are poised to lead the Gers attack again this weekend.

Celtic maintained their scintillating form with a 5-0 win at Dundee United last weekend. Nicholas Kuhn and Adam Idah helped themselves to a pair of goals as the Hoops strolled to title glory at Tannadice.

The four-in-a-row Premiership champions have scored five goals in each of their last three victories, including a 5-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win against St Johnstone a fortnight ago.

A little less consistent on the road, Celtic failed to win five of their last nine away Premiership games, while they conceded at least one goal in seven of those games.

Celtic boss Rodgers has a few injury issues ahead of Sunday's trip to Ibrox. Portuguese wideman Jota has been ruled out for up to nine months with a cruciate ligament injury.

Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel remains sidelined with a shoulder issue, while Hyun-Jun Yang is also expected to miss out.
