Head to Head

Celtic have a 46-35 advantage against Rangers with 19 draws in 100 matches.

Rangers have won the last two contests in the Scottish Premiership, both at Celtic Park.

Rangers Form

Rangers are sitting 14 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership after 19 wins and two draws in their opening 21 matches. They have conceded five goals in that run with a 56-5 goal advantage.

Steven Gerrard’s side won five matches in a row in all competitions before being dumped out of the League Cup. The Gers suffered a 3-2 defeat against St. Mirren in Paisley after conceding in the 90th minute.

Rangers returned to the Premiership with a 3-1 home win against Motherwell and 3-0 win against St Johnstone in Perth. They got back to keeping clean sheets with a 1-0 home win against Hibernian with Ianis Hagi scoring the winner.

Rangers’ last match was a 2-0 win against St. Mirren. They got some revenge in Paisley with Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos scoring in the first half.

Rangers Injuries & Team News

Central defender Nikola Katic remains out injured.

Defender George Edmundson and young striker Jordan Jones are doubtful alongside midfielders Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield.

Forward Kemar Roofe is in great form with four goals and an assist in his last four matches.

Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos could keep his starting spot after his goal against St. Mirren, but Ryan Kent will also be pushing for a start after coming off the bench in Paisley.

Celtic Form

Celtic appear to have overturned a horrible run of form that saw them win two of 12 matches in all competitions. The Hoops have won five of their last six matches in regulation time.

The Hoops won a delayed 2019/20 Scottish Cup final on penalties against Hearts. Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard gave them a 2-0 lead but the match had ended 3-3 following extra time.

Neil Lennon’s side returned to the Premiership with three consecutive wins to nil. Celtic won 2-0 against Ross County before a 3-0 win at Hamilton Academical.

Celtic’s last match was a 3-0 home win against Dundee United. Ismaila Soro, David Turnbull and Odsonne Edouard scored in a match where they had 73% possession and 24-8 shots.

Celtic Injuries & Team News

Celtic defenders Hatem Elhamed and Christopher Jullien are doubtful alongside midfielder James Forrest.

Goalkeeper Vasilios Barkas should keep his spot between the sticks with Conor Hazard remaining on the bench.

Attacking midfielder David Turnbull has scored in his last three appearances.

Striker Leigh Griffiths has scored three goals in his last four matches as has French forward Odsonne Edouard.
