Rangers vs Hibernian Predictions

Rangers have an excellent record against Hibernian, and despite their poor recent form at Ibrox, should return to winning ways this weekend.

A home win with over 1.5 team goals is my top tip in Glasgow, while I also expect both teams to score.

Rangers and Hibernian have met on 37 occasions over the past decade. Rangers won 24 of those games, with Hibernian victorious just seven times.

The Hibees have failed to win any of their last 13 encounters, while they won just one of 25 games played since 2017.

Rangers Form

Rangers return to Glasgow this weekend following a remarkable victory against Dundee last Saturday. Despite trailing 3-1 in the second half, Barry Ferguson's men again showed their powers of recovery with Cyriel Dessers' late goal securing a superb 4-3 victory on Tayside.

The Gers have picked up some decent results under interim boss Ferguson, including sensational road victories against Fenerbahce (3-1) and Celtic (3-2) last month.

At Ibrox, Rangers had won six successive Premiership games before surprise defeats to Motherwell and St Mirren in February and March. The Gers have now lost their last four matches in front of their own fans and have never suffered five consecutive home defeats in Glasgow in their 153-year history.

Rangers boss Ferguson has no new injury issues ahead of Saturday's Premiership contest. Vaclav Cerny is unlikely to feature with the Czech international troubled by a hamstring strain.

Welsh playmaker Tom Lawrence could earn a recall after a goal-scoring substitute appearance against Dundee.

Hibernian Form

Hibernian make the short trip to Glasgow in high spirits after a comfortable 3-0 win against St. Johnstone last weekend. First-half goals from experienced wide men Junior Hoilett and Martin Boyle secured a routine victory for the Hibees.

David Gray's much-improved side are now unbeaten in 15 Premiership matches since December (W10, D5).

With only two games to play until the end-of-season split, Hibernian sit third in the division, 18 points behind Rangers.

Hibs boss Gray is likely to name the same XI that eased past St. Johnstone last Saturday. Joe Newell and Nicky Cadden remain the only injury absentees for the in-form Hibees.
