Rangers are odds-on to successfully defend their Scottish Premiership crown this season.

The Gers ended their title drought in emphatic fashion last season as they went unbeaten in the league.

Steven Gerrard’s side finished 25 points clear of bitter rivals Celtic and have enjoyed a settled pre-season.

They have been able to tweak the squad instead of bringing in a bunch of new faces like in previous summers, and no stars have left.

Therefore it is no shock to see them being made 1/2 favourites to retain their crown with bet365.

While everything appears rosy at Ibrox, there is turmoil across the city at Celtic Park.

The appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager underwhelmed after the club were linked with some big names.

And while active in the transfer market, there have been no real notable signings from the Hoops from this summer either.

Celtic also fell at the first hurdle in Champions League qualifying, so there is much work to be done.

They do remain second favourites to win the Scottish Premiership though, and odds of 6/4 suggest the bookmakers are not about to write them off just yet.

There is a huge jump in the odds from there, with Aberdeen next up at 80/1 ahead of 100/1 Hibernian.
