Torino vs Lecce Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Torino are set to secure a comfortable home win in their Serie A fixture against Leece at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The Turin club have a 100% record in the competition with Andrea Bellotti impressing in the early stage of the season. The striker is tipped to score in a comfortable victory for the hosts.

Torino FC Form & Team News

Torino are coming off an impressive 3-2 victory at Atalanta last time out in Serie A. A first half opener from Kevin Bonifazi was cancelled out by a quick double from the hosts but the Turin club struck twice in the second half through Alex Berenguer and Armando Izzo.

Il Toro are one of three teams left with a 100% record in Serie A having won their opening two matches. Walter Mazzarri’s men are priced at 1.45 for a win on Monday but given the early season form of Andrea Bellotti, an added punt in the goalscorers market provides more value.

Andrea Bellotti has made a superb start to the season scoring eight goals for club and country in his last 10 appearances. With Simone Zaza currently sidelined with a knee problem, he is likely to start as the lone man in attack and is backed to score in a victory for the hosts at odds of 2.00.

US Lecce Form & Team News

Lecce suffered a 1-0 defeat against fellow new boys Hellas Verona in their previous Serie A outing. Despite playing at home, they were second best against the visitors and could only muster two attempts on target throughout the 90 minutes.

Fabio Liverani's men have found things difficult on their return to Serie A having lost their opening two matches. They are not favoured to win in Turin at odds of 7.00 while a draw is valued at 4.33.

Lecce have also struggled in attack and are still without a goal after two matches. Gianluca Lapadula and Filippo Falco often lead the line for the newly promoted team while Luca Rossettini and Fabio Lucioni are set to feature in a defence that has conceded five goals this season.

Torino vs Leece Head to Head

Torino have a 5-3 advantage with five draws from 13 previous matches against Lecce. The last meeting between both teams was a Coppa Italia clash in 2012 which ended 4-2 in favour of the Turin club.

Torino vs Leece Match Up

Andrea Bellotti has been excellent in recent weeks and will be the one to watch for Torino on Sunday. He often leads the line brilliantly and should combine well with Alex Berenguer to get the better of the visitors.

Leece’s attacking problems mean they are yet to find the net this season. Gianluca Lapadula and Filippo Falco have been poor lately and should find things difficult in Turin.
