In the CAF quarter-finals, Sundowns beat ES Tunis 1-0 in the first leg with 80% possession. They went to Tunisia after that and eked out a 0-0 draw vs ES Tunis to progress 1-0 on aggregate.

Coach Miguel Cardoso could be without three players due to injury. Themba Zwane and Rivaldo Coetzee are missing in midfield and Thapelo Morena is ruled out at right back.

Tashreeq Matthews and Iqraam Rayners may come into the XI in the front three. Not many other changes are expected to the XI from Tuesday night.

Chiefs have lost four of their last seven league matches. They are on a 10-year trophy drought and are desperate to lift the Nedbank Cup.

A 3-1 win at Stellenbosch in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals was followed by a 0-0 home draw vs Cape Town City. Chief lost 2-0 at Richards Bay and 2-1 at Golden Arrows despite dominating the shot count.

Their last match saw a 1-1 home draw vs TS Galaxy. An 80th-minute set-piece goal was conceded to drop two valuable points.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi has some serious question marks in his back four. Rushwin Dortley is ruled out and both Reeve Frosler and Inacio Miguel are facing late fitness tests.

Key midfielder Thabo Cele is doubtful. Speedy forward Ashley Du Preez missed the last match with a knock.
