They drew 0-0 at home to Al Ahly before a 1-1 draw in Egypt in their CAF semi-final second leg to reach the final. Two league wins have followed, starting with a 3-0 home victory over Richards Bay.

On Saturday, they went to Cape Town City and won 2-0. Downs had 67% possession and outshot their opponents 15-3.

Coach Miguel Cardoso has an injury doubt over striker Peter Shalulile available after a knock. He could continue with a 4-2-3-1 shape with Arthur Sales supporting Iqraam Rayners.

There could be some rotation in the back four. Mosa Lebusa is a candidate for a rest.

After two key wins, Chippa are winless in four matches with no goals scored (DDLL). They sit eighth in the PSL table but they’re only a point clear of 12th spot.

They enjoyed successive home wins, 2-0 vs Polokwane City and 2-1 vs AmaZulu. Two 0-0 draws followed, away at Golden Arrows and at home to Kaizer Chiefs.

The Chilli Boys have lost their last two fixtures. They were beaten 1-0 at Stellenbosch and 2-0 at SuperSport United last time out with just one shot on target.

Coach Thabo September is still without two central midfielders in Andile Jali and Siphelo Baloni. Makeshift midfielder Sirgio Kammies is suspended after a red card in the last match.

Bienvenu Eva Nga is set to return to the XI in attack. A defensive lineup and approach is expected.
