They responded to losing the MTN8 final by beating AmaZulu 2-1 in the Carling Cup and winning 2-0 at Chippa United in the PSL. After a 0-0 draw at Richards Bay, they beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 in the PSL.

They faced the same opponents three days later and lost 1-0 away in the Carling Knockout Cup. After a 1-1 home draw vs TS Galaxy, they lost 2-0 away to Stade Malien Bamako on Wednesday in the CAF Champions League.

Coach Steve Barker could freshen up his side having travelled directly from Mali to Johannesburg for this match. Striker Lehlohonolo Mojela is still out injured.
