HTH

Barcelona have a 37-19 advantage against Atletico Madrid with 18 draws in 74 matches.

They last met in mid-March, La Liga clash being won by Barcelona 4-2.

Atletico Madrid Form

Atletico Madrid are most likely out from the La Liga title race after securing just one point in their last three games, currently sitting in 3rd place with a nine-point deficit from leaders Barcelona.

Diego Simeone’s side suffered back to back defeats to Getafe 2-1 and Barcelona 4-2 in mid-March, while last weekend’s clash at Espanyol has ended in a 1-1 draw.

They were also eliminated from the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 by Real Madrid on penalties (2-2 on aggregate) while holding Barcelona to a 4-4 draw in the Copa del Rey semifinal 1st leg in late February.

Barcelona Form

Barcelona’s recent form and results have been sensational, securing eleven victories in their last 12 appearances across competitions.

They are leading the title race in La Liga, winning nine games in a row, two of which were in the last seven days against Osasuna 3-0 and Girona 4-1, Robert Lewandowski scoring three, Ferran Torres two goals in these encounters.

Hansi Flick’s side also advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals by beating Benfica twice in March 1-0 & 3-1, while they wasted a 4-2 lead against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semifinal 1st leg, that clash ending in a 4-4 draw.

Team News

Diego Simeone can't count on his captain Koke who is recovering from a muscle injury, while Robin Le Normand is doubtful. Angel Correa is suspended.

As for the visitors, Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Andreas Christensen and Marc-Andre ter Stegen remain on the injury list, while Dani Olmo is doubtful. Raphinha is expected to reclaim his place in the starting lineup after missing the last two games.

Predicted Starting Lineups

Atletico Madrid: Musso, Llorente, Gimenez, Lenglet, Reinildo, Simeone, Barrios, De Paul, Lino, Sorloth, Griezmann

Barcelona: Szczesny, Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Balde, De Jong, Pedri, Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha, Lewandowski
