Atletico Madrid advanced to the Spanish Cup quarterfinals by demolishing Getafe 5-0 earlier this month, with Giuliano Simeone scoring a brace, while Samuel Lino, Angel Correa, and Alex Sorloth were also on target.

The Atleti then snatched a point in the Madrid derby against Real with a 1-1 draw, Julian Alvarez finding the net in the first half. They followed that with another 1-1 La Liga draw against Celta Vigo, where Sorloth saved the day with a late goal.

Diego Simeone’s side returned to winning ways last weekend at Mestalla, outplaying Valencia 3-0. Alvarez scored a brace, while Correa also appeared on the scoresheet.

Lamine Yamal has suffered a minor foot injury last weekend but should be ready for this clash. Marc Bernal and Marc-Andre ter Stegen remain out with long-term injuries.

Captain Koke is the only injury concern for Atletico Madrid, recovering from a muscle injury.
