Rayo Vallecano have been one of the hottest teams in La Liga in the last couple of weeks, claiming 13 points from their last five appearances and moved up to 6th place, rejoining the European contention.

After grabbing a point in Pamplona against Osasuna in late January, the Red Sashes won back to back La Liga matches against Girona 2-1 and Leganes 1-0, Randy Nteka scoring two goals in these encounters.

Rayo Vallecano extended their winning run last weekend in front of the home crowd, beating Real Valladolid 1-0 with Alvaro Garcia scoring the only goal in the 71st minute.

Team News

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Marc Bernal and Ronald Araujo are injured, while Fermin Lopez is serving a suspension after being sent off last weekend against Sevilla.

As for the visiting side, Joni Montiel is still recovering from a muscle injury, while Unai Lopez and Sergio Camello are doubtful.
