Form

Barcelona are having a blast so far in January, claiming five victories in their six appearances across competitions.

After starting 2025 with a 4-0 win over Barbastro in Copa del Rey, Blaugrana beat Bilbao 2-0 and Real Madrid 5-2 to win the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

After returning home, they earned convincing 5-1 victory against Real Betis in the Spanish Cup, but then were held to a 1-1 draw by Getafe in La Liga.

Hansi Flick’s side pulled a miraculous comeback during the mid-week UCL action, beating Benfica 5-4 in Portugal. They were behind 4-2 for 78 minutes, but then scored three times in 12 minutes through Lewandowski, Eric Garcia and Raphinha, clinching the Top 8 placement.

Valencia are currently sitting inside the relegation zone, having collected just 16 points in 20 La Liga encounters.

They have improved under recently appointed manager Carlos Corberan, claiming three wins in five games under his leadership.

The Bats were beaten in their first January appearance by Real Madrid 2-1, but bounced back by defeating Eldense 2-0 in the Spanish Cup.

Valencia then were close to beating Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, having a lead all until stoppage time when Adria Pedrosa scored an equalizer (1-1).

They were victorious in their last two contests, 2-0 against Ourense (Copa del Rey) and 1-0 against Real Sociedad last weekend, Hugo Duro scoring the only goal.

Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marc Bernal won’t be back until the next season. Inigo Martinez is sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Dani Olmo is doubtful due to a strain.

As for the visitors, Cristhian Mosquera is suspended, while Umar Sadiq, Rafa Mir and Thierry Correia are injured.
