After starting this month with a 2-1 road loss against Real Betis, Los Blancos secured two back to back victories against Rayo Vallecano 2-1 and Villarreal 2-1 just before the international break, Kylian Mbappe scoring three goals total in these wins.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side was successful in their recent UEFA Champions League contests against Atletico Madrid, advancing to the quarterfinals after a penalty shootout. They won the first leg at home 2-1, then lost the reverse tie 1-0 in mid-March.

Leganes Form

Leganes continue their efforts to leave the relegation zone in La Liga, currently sitting in 18th place with just one point short of safety with ten rounds left to be played.

Borja Jimenez’s side ended their six-game winless run with a 1-0 home win against Getafe in early March, Diego Garcia finding the net in stoppage time, but lost the follow up clash to Celta 2-1 in Vigo.

Los Pepineros had a 2-0 lead in their most recent La Liga appearance against Real Betis just before the international break (Dani Raba scoring a brace), but conceded three unanswered goals in the second half and lost 3-2.

Team News

Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are still out with long-term injuries for Los Blancos, while Jesus Vallejo, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy are also likely to miss this match due to injuries.

As for the visitors, Enric Franquesa is out with a knee injury, while Yvan Neyou and Diego Garcia are doubtful due to poor fitness.
