Real Madrid are on the verge of another La Liga title with two matches remaining. A win against Villarreal at Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano is all they require and Los Blancos are unlikely to let the chance slip.

Real Madrid Form

Real Madrid are one win away from the La Liga title. Zinédine Zidane’s side have won their last nine La Liga matches and won to nil in five of their last six.

Los Blancos won 1-0 against Getafe, 1-0 at Athletic Bilbao and 2-0 against Deportivo Alavés. Their last match was a 2-1 win at Granada.

Ferland Mendy and Karim Benzema scored inside the opening 16 minutes but they had to work hard for the victory.

Villarreal Form

Villarreal’s top six ambitions have taken a blow with two defeats in their last three La Liga matches. Javier Calleja’s side won 2-0 against Valencia and 2-0 at Real Betis before a 4-1 home defeat to Barcelona.

The Yellow Submarine bounced back with a 3-1 win at Getafe before a poor 2-1 defeat against Real Sociedad. They were 2-0 down before a late Santi Cazorla strike gave them hope, but 0.37 expected goals tells the story.

Villarreal had problems up front with top scorer Gerard Moreno unavailable, striker Carlos Bacca injured and Paco Alcácer failing to get off the bench.
