Cardiff vs Leeds Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Leeds will attempt to strengthen their grip at the top of the English Championship table at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday. Leeds are on a five-match winning run and should have too much quality for the Bluebirds.

Cardiff Form

Cardiff are coming off a 2-0 victory at Barnsley in their previous Championship fixture. Second half goals from Will Vaulks and Callum Paterson were enough to earn the Bluebirds the win.

It was the first victory in five matches for Cardiff who had not been at their best before the break. Neil Harris’ men have been particularly poor at home and head into Sunday’s match winless in their last five home matches.

Cardiff Team News

Forwards Lee Tomlin and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing have had time to recover from their respective injuries.

Left back Greg Cunningham is still recovering from an ACL injury.

Leeds Form

Leeds earned a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield in their previous Championship fixture. Luke Ayling opened the scoring early in the first half while Patrick Bamford added the second.

The Whites had been near perfect before the break and are one point clear at the top of the table. Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won their last five matches without conceding, knocking off the likes of Bristol City, Reading and Middlesbrough.

Leeds Team News

Goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is suspended. Striker Jean-Kevin Augustin is injured.
