Norwich City and Watford are joint favourites to win the Championship next season.

The Canaries and Hornets were two of the three teams relegated from the Premier League in 2021/22.

The bookies make them leading contenders to head straight back there as winners of the Championship.

Norwich and Watford are 7/1 joint favourites at Coral, with Burnley 12/1 to immediately bounce back by winning the second tier title.

West Brom are 10/1 to end their Premier League exile by winning the Championship, while Sheffield United and Middlesbrough are both 12/1.

Sunderland, who earned promotion from League One last season, are 20/1 to follow that up with the Championship title.

“It will be no surprise to punters to see familiar names at the top of the betting for who emerges victorious from the Championship next season,” Coral's Harry Aitkenhead told FreeTips.com.

“Recently relegated Norwich and Watford the joint favourites in the market.

"Sunderland are just 20/1 to win the league – our traders think the Black Cats are in great shape for an immediate tilt at returning to the Premier League.”
