Derby and Sheffield Wednesday are set to produce an open contest in their midweek EFL Championship fixture at Pride Park. Both teams have quality in attack and are set to serve up goals on Tuesday.

Derby Form

Derby suffered a 1-0 defeat at Blackburn in their last Championship fixture. They had chances to score with Krystian Bielik curling an effort just wide while Jack Marriott drew a late save from the Derby goalkeeper.

The result means the Rams have claimed just one win in their last five Championship matches. Phillip Cocu's men will be happy to return to Pride Park where they are unbeaten in their last eight matches, including a 1-1 draw against QPR in their previous fixture.

Derby have quality in attack with Martyn Waghorn who is the team’s top scorer this season with six goals. They are often let down by poor defending and have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last five matches.

Derby News

Derby will be without a number of players including midfielders Graeme Shinnie and Mason Bennett, who are both sidelined with hamstring and ankle injuries respectively. Winger Ikechi Anya is nearing a return to fitness but is not expected to feature on Tuesday.

The win extended the Owls’ unbeaten run to three matches and moves them up into the final playoff place. Garry Monk’s men have struggled on the road and have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six away matches.

Top scorer Steven Fletcher is back to his best having scored a brace in his last two matches.
