Derby ended their wait for a victory in the Championship against Norwich and get the chance to follow up when they host Watford at Pride Park on Friday night. Watford have struggled on the road so far this season, but can they get a first away win?

Derby Form

Having lost their opening three games, Derby kicked their season into life two weeks ago with a 1-0 win over Norwich at Carrow Road. Wayne Rooney's 87th minute goal eased the pressure on Phillip Cocu's side.

The Rams had begun the Championship season with defeats to Reading (2-0), Luton (2-1) and Blackburn (4-0).

Derby had needed penalties to get past Barrow in the first round of the Carabao Cup after a 0-0 draw and lost 2-1 to Preston in the second round.

Derby Team News

Derby look set to be without Martyn Waghorn, Tom Lawrence and Krystian Bielik once again.

Watford Form

Watford have yet to find their best form since relegation from the Premier League, but Vladimir Ivic's side have collected seven points from four Championship fixtures.

It all started with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough and was followed by a 0-0 at Sheffield Wednesday and a 1-0 win over Luton. But the Hornets lost their last game when going down 1-0 at Reading prior to the international break.

Watford overcame Oxford United on penalties in the Carabao Cup after a 1-1 draw, but were embarrassed by Newport County in a 3-1 defeat that saw them exit the League Cup.

Watford Team News

Ivic has injury problems to contend with Etienne Capoue, Troy Deeney, Andre Gray, Will Hughes, Adam Masina and Isaac Success all on the sidelines.

Derby vs Watford Head to Head

Derby have won three of the last four head to heads against Watford. The most recent meeting ended in a 2-2 draw at Pride Park during the 2014/15 Championship season.
