EFL 2022/23 Odds – Bookies reveal punters' favourites after fixture release
- The EFL released the 2022/23 fixtures today
- bet365 reveal best backed teams in all three divisions
- Cardiff, Sheff Wed & Bradford all backed for titles
The 2022/23 English Football League fixtures have been released and the bookmakers have revealed their biggest liabilities.
Cardiff are big outsiders to win the Championship at 25/1 with bet365, but that has not stopped punters ploughing cash into them.
And if they complete an audacious swoop for Gareth Bale, those odds will quickly tumble.
Sheffield Wednesday are the biggest hit for the bookies in League One, having been made 6/1 second favourites behind Ipswich Town.
And in League Two, punters have been getting behind 9/1 Bradford, who are third favourites behind 7/1 Stockport and 8/1 Salford.
“It’s a list that comprises of a five-time Champions League winner being linked with his hometown club, a team that looks to have done some shrewd business in the transfer window and one that gets backed every season,” bet365’s Steve Freeth told FreeTips.com.
“Punters have been happy to throw a dart at 25/1 shots Cardiff with Gareth Bale linked to a sensational move back home, and 6/1 Sheffield Wednesday are all the rage in the third tier with Darren Moore making some eye-catching transfers.
“That leaves 9/1 Bradford, with Mark Hughes being the latest manager to try and get this giant out of League Two, and many customers hoping it will be fourth time lucky for the Bantams.”
