Hull vs Leeds Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Leeds continue their quest for automatic promotion as they travel to the KCOM Stadium for an English Championship fixture against Hull. Leeds are second on the table and looking to fend off the chasing pack. They should have too much for Hull who have struggled in recent weeks.

Hull Form

Hull appear to be in the middle of a crisis as they head into Saturday’s match winless in their last eight matches. They have lost to Derby and Blackburn in that run and were beaten 2-1 at Preston North End last Saturday.

The Tigers are even worse at the KCOM Stadium where they have lost six of their last seven matches, including a 1-0 defeat against Barnsley on Wednesday. Grant McCann's men have been on a steady decline down the table and are just four points away from the relegation zone.

Hull News

Hull have a lengthy injury list ahead of Saturday’s match with strikers Keane Lewis-Potter and Tom Eaves both sidelined. Winger Josh Bowler remains unavailable while defender Eric Lichaj, Herbie Kane and James Scott are out till the end of the season.

Leeds Form

Leeds have regained their confidence following three straight Championship victories. They head into Saturday’s match off the back of a 1-0 victory at Middlesbrough with Mateusz Klich's effort on the stroke of half time proving the difference.

The Whites now have a solid advantage in second position and will be hopeful of strengthening their hold with a win against a poor Hull team. Manager Marcelo Bielsa will be pleased with his team’s defending in recent weeks having kept clean sheets in their last three matches.

Leeds will be without midfielder Kalvin Phillips who is sidelined with injury. Fellow midfielder Adam Forshaw is already a long-term absentee having been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Hull vs Leeds Head to Head

Leeds have a 7-4 advantage with six draws from 17 previous matches against Hull. Leeds have won two of the last three meetings, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture at Elland road. Egzijan Alioski struck the second goal after Jordy de Wijs had put through his own net.

Hull vs Leeds Betting Odds

Hull are priced at odds of 7.50 for the win while a draw is valued at 4.75 at bet365. A victory for Leeds is set at odds of 1.48 at William Hill. Leeds have kept clean sheets in two of their last three matches against Hull and are priced at 2.50 to earn a win to nil while a -1 handicap is paying 2.30.

Hull vs Leeds Match Up

Hull’s injury problems have hit them heaviest in attack with Josh Magennis the only fit striker available. He is currently on an eight-match goal drought and is expected to struggle against a formidable Leeds defence.

Leeds have regained their defensive solidity following clean sheets in their last three matches. They will be confident of shutting out a depleted Hull attack while Pablo Hernandez, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison will carry their attacking threat.
